In August 2020, iRobot launched its brand new Home app, based on the intelligent web platform iRobot Genius™ Home Intelligence. With iRobot Genius, also called “The Brain Behind the Clean,” you gain access to a wide range of great digital features that focus on you, your home, and your needs. The WiFi-connected robots now offer you personalized cleaning suggestions based on your life and home, and additionally provide suggestions for extra cleaning during pollen season and when your pets shed more.
iRobot has just released its latest software update, giving you even greater control over where, when, and how your robots should handle cleaning. All to help you have an easier everyday life, where you no longer need to think about vacuuming or floor mopping.
The new update provides you with the following new benefits:
- Clean while I'm out – The robot adapts to your life and knows via the location of your mobile phone when you leave home. It automatically starts cleaning as soon as you are out the door. If it is not finished before you come home, it stops completely automatically. This way, you are never disturbed and can instead enjoy clean floors.
- Estimated cleaning time – Are you in a time crunch, or did you forget to start the robot vacuum in good time before your guests arrive? No problem – via the app, you can see how long it takes to vacuum the rooms you need. Available on iRobot Smart Mapping robots.
- Time-limited cleaning – Have a robot without Smart Mapping – there is also good news for you. With the feature: “Time-limited cleaning,” you can start the robot vacuuming in a preset time interval of 15 – 30 – 45 minutes, after which the robot automatically returns to the charging station. This way, you can handle a time-limited vacuuming as needed.
- Braava jet m6 – Via the iRobot Home app on your Smart Map, you can specify high door thresholds and at the same time allow the Braava jet m6 to attempt to drive over them without getting stuck. This way, you achieve a complete cleaning without any disturbances for you.
