Denmark, July 23, 2024 – iRobot Corp. (NASDAQ: IRBT), a leader in household robots, today introduces its most advanced robot vacuum and floor mop, Roomba Combo® 10 Max + AutoWash™ dock. The newly developed 2-in-1 robot elevates automated cleaning to a new level with iRobot's first multifunctional AutoWash dock and increased intelligence. Roomba Combo 10 Max + AutoWash dock is designed for efficient vacuuming and floor mopping of multiple floor types. The robot refills and charges, the mop cloth is washed and dried, the dustbin is emptied, and the dock is cleaned – all automatically, so customers can enjoy sparkling clean floors with less concern about robot maintenance. Powered by iRobot OS, Roomba Combo 10 Max is equipped with enhanced Dirt Detect™ technology, allowing it to recognize large amounts of dirt and debris up to 8x more frequently1 and clean even more thoroughly in those areas – just as you would do it yourself. It will also be the first robot from iRobot to comply with the Matter smart home protocol and be compatible with the Apple Home ecosystem.

The AutoWash dock does the dirty work for you
The stylish AutoWash dock is made from premium antimicrobial materials. It automatically empties dirt and debris into a sealed bag, refills the mop tank, and washes and dries the mop cloth. The AutoWash dock automatically cleans the dock after each cloth wash to proactively prevent dirt and debris buildup. Customers can also choose to run a manual self-cleaning cycle, and the iRobot Home app will notify them when a more thorough cleaning or standard maintenance is needed. The AutoWash dock handles dirt and debris emptying for up to 60 days and holds up to 7 days of water supply for floor mopping, washing the robot's mop cloth, and self-cleaning. Customers can even ask Roomba Combo 10 Max to clean the mop cloth after cleaning specific rooms, such as bathrooms, to prevent dirt and bacteria from spreading throughout the home.
Dirt Expert
The Roomba Combo 10 Max robot handles dirt, pet hair, and debris with precision. With its extraordinary ability to pick up dust and fibers, it effortlessly removes dirt from carpets, hard floors, and even hard-to-reach corners. The 4-stage cleaning system consists of a side brush for thorough corner cleaning, Dual Multi-Surface brushes that adapt to different floor types and avoid tangled pet hair, 100% higher Power-Lifting Suction2, and deep floor mopping. The robot cleans even deeper with the Carpet Boost feature, which automatically increases suction power when it detects carpets. With SmartScrub, Roomba Combo 10 Max mops in a back-and-forth motion with constant downward pressure and 2x deeper scrubbing3 to remove stubborn stains like coffee and dirt.
Roomba Combo 10 Max seamlessly switches between vacuuming carpets and mopping floors, and customers can be assured that their carpets remain dry with D.R.I (Dry Rug Intelligence) - exclusive to iRobot. Unlike other 2-in-1 robots, Roomba Combo 10 Max uses its robust metal Auto-Retract mop system when it detects carpets, lifting the mop cloth to the top of the robot to keep even high-pile carpets fresh and dry. On hard floors, it vacuums and mops simultaneously, keeping them sparkling clean every day.
It's so intelligent that it cleans just as you would do it
Many of iRobot's robots have the ability to detect large amounts of dirt and debris using various sensors – and clean more thoroughly in these areas, just as customers would do it themselves. With the enhanced Dirt Detect technology, Roomba Combo 10 Max also uses its camera to visually identify dirt on the floor, so it now recognizes the dirtiest areas up to 8x more frequently1 and keeps the home cleaner by performing a more thorough cleaning in these areas, just as you would do it.
Powered by iRobot OS, with PrecisionVision navigation, and by leveraging advanced machine learning capabilities, Roomba Combo 10 Max creates a complete map of the home 7x faster4 and automatically names each room type, allowing customers to easily and quickly create cleaning routines where they want, after just one run. Dirt Detective lets Roomba Combo 10 Max analyze cleaning history to predict room cleanliness and access room prioritization and cleaning settings, and even know when it's time to wash the mop cloth. Customers can also connect the robot with Alexa-, Siri-, or Google Assistant-enabled devices5 for voice-controlled cleaning.
With its advanced navigation and object detection features, Roomba Combo 10 Max navigates under and around furniture, avoiding obstacles like stairs, cords, socks, shoes, and more. This gives customers less tidying up before the robot cleans and peace of mind that the robot will complete its work without interruption. It also includes iRobot's Pet Owner Official Promise (P.O.O.P.) – meaning it avoids pet waste. If it doesn't, iRobot will replace it for free6.
Matter-enabled and Apple Home-compatible for seamless integration into the smart home
Roomba Combo 10 Max will be Matter-enabled in Q4 2024 and compatible with the Apple Home ecosystem.
