“Until now, many 2-in-1 robot vacuums and mops have provided a poor user experience, either because they required a separate, time-consuming setup or caused wet accidents by not lifting the mop high enough to avoid mats and carpets. Unlike other 2-in-1 models, the Roomba Combo j7+ first vacuums mats/carpets and then vacuums and mops hard floors simultaneously, saving you time by cleaning the entire area in a single job. Using advanced sensors, the robot can detect different floor types. When the Roomba Combo j7+ approaches mats and carpets, its fully retractable mop arms lift the wet mop cloth to the top of the robot – in the same way a convertible raises its roof – thus preventing wet accidents.
Thanks to iRobot OS and the robot's PrecisionVision navigation system, you don't have to worry about tidying up before cleaning starts. The Roomba Combo j7+ recognizes more than 80 common objects1, enabling it to clean more specific areas on command, such as around the litter box, toilet bowl, dishwasher, etc. It also allows the robot to detect and avoid obstacles like cords, clothes, shoes, socks, backpacks, pet food and water bowls, toys, and solid pet waste. To make cleaning even easier, you can pair the robot with your voice assistant and simply tell it to clean specific rooms or around certain objects in your home, and it will do what you ask2. The Roomba Combo j7+ understands about 600 voice commands, more than any other 2-in-1 robot. You can customize the Roomba Combo j7+ robot's cleaning jobs in the iRobot Home app by selecting which rooms to vacuum and mop or only vacuum, and adjust the amount of liquid you want the mop to use.
The only 2-in-1 with a mop that lifts higher and keeps the carpet dry
Other 2-in-1 robots only lift the mop a few millimeters – if at all – which can leave wet accidents on mats and carpets. The Roomba Combo j7+ is the only 2-in-1 with a mop that lifts to the top of the robot, completely away from mats and carpets. Two sturdy and fully retractable metal mop arms raise the mop when the robot detects mats and carpets, preventing unwanted wet accidents.
The first true hands-free robot vacuum and mop
It's easy to use the Roomba Combo j7+. The robot detects when a mop cloth is attached and the tank is full – and then automatically goes into mop mode. Other 2-in-1 robots have a mop that you have to manually attach after vacuuming, adding extra work and time. With the Roomba Combo j7+, the mop arm is already attached and ready to use. Additionally, it is equipped with Clean Base® – External dust holder, which ensures automatic emptying of the robot's dustbin. This way, you can forget about vacuuming for months at a time. With Clean Base, dirt is collected in a sealed vacuum bag that can hold dirt and debris from up to 60 days of vacuuming.

iRobot OS delivers a premium and user-friendly experience for everyone - including pet owners, busy families, and anyone looking for greater control over cleaning. As part of iRobot's continued development of iRobot OS, the company introduces new features and thoughtful digital experiences that enhance intelligence, personalization, and control over all Wi-Fi-connected Roomba robot vacuums and Braava jet™ robot mops3. The expanded object recognition provides the ability for even more cleaning on command, intelligent navigation on all floors of the house, and a continued focus on delivering more pet features than any other robot3.
- Cleaning more specific areas on command - iRobot OS expands with new Clean Zone recommendations. In addition to previously announced items like sofas, tables, sideboards, and Christmas trees, Roomba robot vacuums with Imprint® Smart Mapping and the Braava jet m6 robot mop can now automatically detect and proactively recommend Clean Zones around dishwashers, toilets, ovens/stoves, litter boxes, and food and water bowls3. You can further customize your Smart Map by designating your own precise Clean Zones. Via Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled devices, you can ask your robot to clean these areas with your voice, for example, by saying: “Hey Google, ask Braava jet m6 to mop around the toilet2."
- Avoids more of the objects you want it to avoid - Roomba j-series robot vacuums can detect and avoid even more obstacles than before, giving you greater peace of mind that the job will be done. Roomba j-series robots will now recognize and avoid pet toys, food and water bowls, litter boxes, and backpacks, in addition to previously supported items like shoes, socks, cords, headphones, clothes, towels, and solid pet waste.
- Skip a room - Things don't always go as planned, nor does your cleaning routine. That's why you can now skip a room during an ongoing cleaning job to avoid unwanted interruptions. If you press the “Skip” button in the iRobot Home app or issue a voice command, you skip the room or zone the robot is currently working on. The robot then moves to the next room or area, so you can continue your day uninterrupted.
- Even more Siri shortcuts - iOS users can now create Siri shortcuts for direct room cleaning and saved "favorites" from the iRobot Home app. Now you can use your voice to ask Siri to clean areas like the living room or dining room. With a voice command, you can also start a cleaning job from your saved favorites in the iRobot Home app. For example, you can say: "Hey Siri, clean up after dinner," and your Roomba or Braava jet m6 will clean the rooms you've designated as favorites.
