True to tradition, Liebherr presented several groundbreaking innovations at this year's IFA fair, one of the most remarkable being the world's first fully recyclable freezer, FNXa 522i.
Several years ago, Liebherr introduced the revolutionary BlueRoX concept – a vacuum technology based on perlite, a finely ground volcanic rock. Now, this groundbreaking technology is ready for the market. Liebherr is proud to present the prototype of the first freezer that fully utilizes BlueRoX technology and is based on a circular product design.
The new freezer is constructed with an advanced 3D vacuum construction stabilized by perlite, marking an important step in Liebherr's journey towards a circular economy in cooling and freezing products. This development could be experienced by visitors at the Liebherr booth at IFA.
More than just sustainability – also extra space
The 185 cm high freezer has the highest energy efficiency class, A, and is designed with future repairs in mind. The technology is assembled in a module at the bottom, which can be easily replaced. The sleek BluRoX outer walls not only provide a strong construction but also 30% more capacity, equivalent to 80 liters of extra storage space compared to traditional freezers of the same size.
